Firewall Softwares & Hardware

A firewall can be software, or hardware based. A firewall is a tool that blocks access to your computer, and can also block certain types of ougoing information from your computer, to the outside world.

Windows has a software firewall built into it's operating systems, and requires you to 'allow' or 'deny' access to certain ports on your computer. Web browsing uses a specific port to access the internet, therefore, if you are blocking that port, your internet access will not work, until you 'allow' traffic to occurr on that port.
For information on firewalls, please use the microsoft website.

If you are trying to browse the site from a workplace environment, and you have an IT staff that oversees network security, it could be very likely that the network has been setup to block many types of ports, and web usage. The only resolve in that issue is to talk to your work IT staff, if you're in an environment where your employer doesnot disapprove of such browsing on work time.

Typographical Error

The most common cause of login problems is typographical errors. The best advice we can offer for this issue is to always make sure your CAPS LOCK key on the keyboard is not turn "on" when typing in your login and password.

Additionally, the simple process of writing down your username and password in a secure location is a good way to ensure that you have that information in the event of problems logging in.

NOTE: If you use the password recovery option in the site to recover your password, make sure you have used a "legitimate" email address in your account creation. The Wild Ride is not responsible for password recovery issues if you did not use a legitimate email address in your account creation.
